Currently, Tom is the head coach for the women's swimming team at the University of Idaho.

Basic Backstroke Swimming Technique
Michael "Mickey" Wender is the head men's and women's swimming coach at the University of Washington. Wnder has coached at every level from summer league to NCAA Division I in the highly competitive Pac 10. Before assuming his current position in 1998, Wender led the UC-Santa Cruz swimming and diving program to four top ten national finishes in six years. Under Wender the Washington Huskies have broken 49 school records and have qualified for the NCAA Championships each year. He has produced a national champion and compiled a dual meet record of 140-43 as an NCAA coach.
