LEVELS OF USE
There are 3 levels of drug use, some people proceed quickly to the dependent stage while others never go beyond the experimental stage. The reason for this variance is still unknown but it is probably influenced by drug availability, genetics, environment and people they hang around with.
Experimental
This is the first stage where drug consumption begins in an irregular fashion due to a mixture of peer influences, curiosity and availability. Some people become recreational users while others simply stop. This is probably the easiest stage to prevent somebody from becoming dependant but it is also the hardest to detect. Experimenters by nature are not prone to any specific drug, they may try LSD or Marijuana as much as Cocaine or Heroin.
Recreational
In intermediate stage before becoming dependent on a drug is called recreational use. This again may be any drug that is available with the major difference being they do them on a regular basis. Often drug use at this stage becomes compliment to social activities, they have found their peers who also enjoy the use of drugs. This is where signs of drug use begin to be seen by others around them who do not take drugs.
Dependant
The final stage is dependancy, which means that the body how begun to crave or need the use of drugs. Drug use at this stage becomes frequent, sometimes several times a day and quality becomes a secondary factor to availability. Drug abusers tend to care less about who they are with or the environment around them for drug use. This is also the stage where drug injection becomes most prevailent.
