Standing Front Barbell Press

Exercise Type:

Anaerobic Exercise (strength training)

Primary Muscles Exercised:

anterior deltoids

Description:

1) Stand with your feet shoulder width apart
2) grasp the barbell from standards set at shoulder width and grasp the barbell with palms facing away from you
3) the barbell should be just above your chest but below your head

Techinque:

1) raise barbell directly upwards until both your arms are fully extended (do not lock your elbows) and hold for a few seconds
2) return barbell to its original position
3) repeat until you have completed your desired number of repetitions
