Seated One-Arm Triceps Extensions

Exercise Type:

Anaerobic Exercise (strength training)

Primary Muscles Exercised:

Inner and medial heads of triceps

Description:

1) sit in the Hercules chair with your back firmly against the backrest, feet out to stabilize your body
2) grasp a dumbbell with an overhand grip, palms facing forward during the entire movement
3) hold the dumbbell over your head with your arm fully extended but do not lock your elbows

Techinque:

1) slowly lower the dumbbell to a position behind your head, bending only at the elbow
2) hold for a few seconds then extend your arm once again to the original position
3) repeat until you have completed your desired number of repetitions
4) repeat with the alternating arm
